Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China, Wolong has spent 40 years driven by its mission to "power the future through technology" and its vision of becoming the "Global No.1 in Motor Services." Wolong is committed to delivering safe, efficient, intelligent, and green electric drive solutions and full-lifecycle services to customers worldwide. Today, Wolong has grown into a multinational, industry-leading enterprise with core businesses in motors and drive control, alongside renewable energy (wind, solar, energy storage, hydrogen) and mineral resources. The Group comprises three listed companies — Wolong Electric Drive (600580.SH), Wolong Resources (600173.SH), and Brook Crompton (AWC.SI) — along with 57 wholly-owned and controlled subsidiaries and over 15,000 employees. In 2024, Wolong generated RMB 54.9 billion in sales revenue with total assets of RMB 38.6 billion.

Wolong continues to build itself into a technology-leading enterprise. Within the Group and its subsidiaries, 17 companies hold National High-Tech Enterprise status, 7 are recognized as Science and Technology SMEs, 4 as National "Little Giant" Specialized and Innovative Enterprises, and 7 as provincial-level Specialized and Innovative Enterprises. Wolong operates five major R&D centers — in Shanghai, Kyoto, Düsseldorf (Germany), Michigan (USA), and Telangana (India) — as well as dedicated research centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Suzhou, and its Shangyu headquarters focused on green hydrogen production, biomimetic robotics and marine electric propulsion, magnetic/air-bearing technology, e-bike drive systems, and electric aviation and high-performance permanent magnet drives. Wolong has established China's first motor materials application demonstration platform, applying permanent magnet, nanomaterial, and silicon carbide technologies to achieve industry-leading power density and energy efficiency in motors and generators. Guided by technological innovation, Wolong is building an intelligent "motor industry brain" centered on full-lifecycle drive management to lead industry transformation.

Wolong's portfolio includes Europe's third-largest motor manufacturer, a global leader in electric spindle solutions, and China's largest explosion-proof motor manufacturer, drawing on more than 140 years of combined motor design and manufacturing expertise. Through rigorous quality and pricing systems, Wolong delivers high-quality, tailored products and services to customers around the world.

Wolong remains firmly customer-centric, going deep into every industry it serves to become a leader in each niche segment. Wolong applies its technology to power smarter living — contributing green drive solutions for white goods, kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, and power tools; supporting energy-efficient HVAC, water supply, and elevator systems that bring sustainable, comfortable living environments to modern buildings; and leveraging its global technology platform to serve the oil and gas, petrochemical, metallurgy, power, coal, and paper industries with green drive technology. Wolong is also expanding into electric transportation, providing power systems for electric vehicles, vessels, and aircraft.
